“A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love” – Max Muller
Feeling incredibly loved from not only my love Dana but all my amazing friends and family across the world. You all are my sunshine, thank you

Swim Against the Current
”The man swimming against the stream knows the strength of it” – Woodrow Wilson
I think my two beaver buddies are starting to open up to me. They have gotten over the skiddish phase and are now going about their daily business without paying too much attention to my presence. It has been a pleasure watching them swim, collect foliage to eat and build up their home. I hope they have a great long weekend along with all of you guys! Happy Friday everyone!
Always Contemplate the Shadows
”To contemplate is to look at shadows” – Victor Hugo
As I was setting up this shot I was originally trying to wait for a moment without people’s shadows. That idea changed when I saw a group walking up and I thought it may look better if I could catch them right in the middle of the pole. Bingo bango the perfect reminder to always contemplate the shadows!

Tell Yourself
“Relentless, repetitive self talk is what changes our self-image” – Denis Waitley
You always have a choice in who you are and how you feel. Don’t let others infect your mind with who they think you are or how you should feel. Even the people that live this daily still fall victim from time to time so be sure to remember you are not alone but only you alone can control you.

Howl at the Moon
”There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.” – George Carlin
In old Norse mythology the Moon (Máni) and Sun (Sól) are being chased by wolves and run through the heavons each day to count the years for man. One day the wolves will catch and devour them both signalling that Ragnarök has come upon us. I have been researching a lot about the Pagan gods of old along with the writings of 13th century Viking Saga’s and it is amazing to see how well documented it is. Such rich stories mixed with historical events, how can you not get lost in them? What are you reading or researching?

Put In Work
Putting in work like this little beaver was last night. It is great to see this national symbol making a comeback along the many rivers and creeks that reach Lake Ontario. Always a favorite to see and quite the hard workers to learn from.
It’s Monday so put in some work today and the rest of the week will follow suit. Happy Monday everyone!

Grjótagjá Cave
Grjótagjá used to be a very popular hot spring site until the mid 1970’s. After two eruptions in the 70’s and 80’s the water temperature rose too high for bathing. It is now on private land and the current owners forbid bathing but still allow visitors to come see and photograph the beautiful lava cave.
It was recently used in the popular TV series Game of Thrones. It is the famous scene where Ygritte turns Jon Snow into a man. If you’re a fan of the show you will know what I am talking about.
